Biographies


Here are short biographies about each member in the group. 
Nicole Serafin(nrs64@drexel.edu):


Nicole is from Franklin, Pennsylvania and is a freshman at Drexel University currently majoring in electrical engineering.  Nicole hopes to work for NASA one day.  She is an active member of the Math Student Organization and the Society for Women Engineers.  She also enjoys playing the trumpet.  

Elliot Goldberg(emg96@drexel):
Elliot is from Scottsdale, Arizona and is a freshman at Drexel University currently majoring in computer engineering.  Elliot hopes to work for Google one day.  He is apart of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity and participates in a lot of charity events.    



Nola McAloon(nem56@drexel.edu): 
Nola is from Medford, New York and is a freshman at Drexel University currently majoring in chemical engineering.  Nola would one day like to work for Crayola.  She is a member of Drexel Circle K and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.  


Onyekachi Nwobi(ocn24@drexel.edu):
Onyekachi (Kachy) is from Lagos, Nigeria and is a freshman at Drexel University currently majoring in environmental engineering. Kachy wants to work for the United States Environmental Protection Agency.  She is a member of National Society of Black Engineers.



Ben Cohen (bc3262@drexel.edu)
Ben Cohen is the fellow in this Engineering 103 class.  He graduated from Drexel University with a BS/MS in Civil Engineering with a Structural Concentration.  He is interested in asset management and transportation infrastructure.



Emin Aktan (aaktan@drexel.edu)
 Dr. Emin Aktan is the instructor for this course.  He received his BS/MS in Civil/Structural Engineering at the Middle East Technical University and then went on to receive his PhD in Earthquake Structural Engineering at the University of Illinois.  He is currently a John Roebling Professor of Infrastructure Studies at Drexel University.  He specializes in Health monitoring and management of Large Infrastructure Systems with emphasis on Structural Health Monitoring.
